Kelly Foster is LOCAL 15's morning meteorologist. She comes to LOCAL 15 from WDAM in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where she anchored the station's highly rated Live @ Five newscast, and served as part-time meteorologist. Kelly also worked at WXXV in Gulfport as the morning anchor.
Kelly won a first place Alabama Associated Press award, and was named Best Feature Reporter in the state. She has also been recognized by the Associated Press with a first place award for "best franchise" reporting. She has also been awarded the National Weather Association's Seal of Approval. Kelly is also a full member of the American Meteorological Society.
Kelly has two degrees. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in radio, television and film. Kelly also holds a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. She also studied at the University of London.
Foster is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and is thrilled to be working in a market close to home. In her spare time Kelly enjoys reading the works of Southern authors, playing tennis, singing, fishing, boating, watching sunsets and most importantly, spending time with family.
She is married and the proud mother of three daughters and one son.
