Clement Townsend joined Local 15 in June of 2006. During the week you can watch him deliver unique stories about athletes on the Gulf Coast. On the weekends you can catch his famous segment “Say What” as well as scores and highlights from the area and around the state. Clement is the co-host of the Friday Night Blitz during the high school football season. During his time in Mobile Clement has covered it all from Auburn and Alabama’s national title runs in football, the New Orleans Saints, Miami Heat Training Camp and South Alabama’s run to the NCAA basketball Tournament.
Clement is a member of the Word of Life Community Church and is involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. He is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
Clement comes to Mobile from San Angelo, Texas where he was the Sports Director. He received the Image Award from the San Angelo Branch of the NAACP in 2006. Clement graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Communications Degree from Temple University. He was born and raised in Chicago.
Clement is married to his college sweetheart Erica and they have one daughter Janae. In his spare time Clement enjoys working out, watching movies and reading books.
