Clement Townsend joined the Local 15 Sports team in June of 2006 as a sports reporter/anchor. He came to Mobile after spending five years in San Angelo, Texas at KLST-TV where he was most recently the Sports Director.
While in San Angelo Clement was very active in the community. In 2006 he received the Image Award from the San Angelo Branch of the NAACP.
Clement was born and raised in Chicago, the actual city not the suburbs, the South Side in fact. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University with a degree in Communications.
Clement prides himself on making sports fun and bringing viewers the best stories. In his spare time Clement enjoys playing basketball, lifting weights, and watching movies. Every now and then he might watch a game or two as well.
