MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Jurors deliberate in the penalty phase of Lam Luong's capital murder trial in Mobile.
The jury convicted the 38-year-old Vietnamese refugee on Thursday in the deaths of four children tossed off the Dauphin Island bridge on Jan. 7, 2008 after Luong argued with his wife in Irvington. Luong is the father of three of the children.
Jurors deliberate Friday on a penalty and they have two options: death or life in prison without parole. Judge Charles Graddick is not bound by the jury's recommended penalty.
