A ridge of High Pressure is moving away from our area.   As the High moves out, a cold front will be headed our way...and temps will warm up ahead of it.  So, temps will reach near 60 today...with skies turning mostly cloudy.

Rain chances are looking very slim for this last day of 2012...only a 20% threat...and that's late evening thru midnight.  So, it won't hurt to take an umbrella with you if you're going to see the Moon Pie or Pellican drop.  Temps at that time will be mild...still hovering close to 60 degrees...and patchy fog could be around.

New Year's Day afternoon, the cold front moves into our area...and rain chances go up.  The front will be slow to move out, so rain will remain a threat thru Wednesday.  The frontal system clears our area by the end of the week...so, the 1st WEEKEND of 2013 looks nice!

Take Care,
Meteorologist Deitra Tate
