An arctic chill will invade the Gulf Coast for the weekend.  An upper level trough of low pressure will carve out the Eastern U.S...allowing cold Canadian air to journey into our area. For Saturday morning, temps will be in the lower-mid 30s....burr.  By the afternoon, highs will struggle to reach the 50 degree mark as north winds steer colder air our way.  Partly-mainly cloudy skies will also dominate on Saturday, helping to keep temps on the colder side. Saturday night thru Sunday morning will be the coldest period of the weekend.  Lows will bottom out in the mid-upper 20s for areas along & north of I-10.  So, prepare your sensitive plants for the upcoming freeze.

Temps will slowly begin to warm up by Monday...ahead of our next storm system that'll bring us a chance for rain on Tuesday.  Highs will rebound back into the mid-upper 60s by Monday.

Enjoy the weekend!
