Warmer weather is the big story for the Gulf Coast.  After cold mornings & cool afternoons, temperatures are going to be on the rise as we end November and journey into December.   Highs will rise into the lower 70s this afternoon under partly-mainly cloudy skies.  The additional cloud cover, today, is due to a weak upper disturbance crossing our area along with just an increase in low level moisture (an ESE wind is the culprit of that).  There is a slight chance (10% or less) that a few offshore showers could develop today and skirt our coastal areas.  However, most areas will enjoy a dry day.

The weekend brings slightly warmer weather as highs will reach the low-mid 80s under partly cloudy skies.  So, the weather will cooperate for any outdoor weekend plans you may have.

Next week remains unseasonably warm with mid 70s.  The persistent warm weather will occur ahead of the next cold front that won't arrive until Wednesday.  That front will also give us our next chance for rain.

Tropics:
The tropics are quiet...after an active hurricane season.  Today, Nov. 30th, is the climatological end of the season with:  19 named storms, and 10 hurricanes.

Enjoy your Friday & Weekend!
