The forecast for Friday and the weekend looks very nice. A mix of sun and clouds can be expected for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with highs in the low to mid 70s Friday. Weather looks good for the Conde Cavalier Parade in downtown Mobile Friday evening, beginning at 6:30, with temps in the low to mid 60s under partly cloudy skies. A cold front will move through Friday night into early Saturday bringing a few more clouds, and a slight cool down for the weekend. We have removed the chance for rain with the cold front, as it now appears it will push into the area as a dry front.
Saturday and Sunday will be slightly cooler, but still nice, with highs in the 60s to around 70, with overnight lows in the 40s Saturday and 50s by Monday morning. Next week, the jet stream will orient itself from southwest to northeast. This flow will bring warm, humid (for late January) days and foggy nights through Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s Monday, then rise into the mid to upper 70s on Tuesday. A strong storm system will bring a chance of showers and storms late Tuesday and Wednesday. Some of the storms may be severe, given the warmth and humidity in place, as well as strong upper level wind energy. At this time, the severe weather threat does NOT appear too substantial, but that certainly could change, and we'll keep you posted.
