WEATHER SUMMARY

The Storm Prediction Center has our entire viewing area under a slight risk of severe weather today.  The potential for isolated tornadoes and damaging straight line winds are possible within some of these storms. A Wind Advisory is also in effect for our entire viewing area until 9pm.

We do expect stormy conditions for the eastern zones of our viewing area this afternoon as a strong cold front marches through the region.  Please make sure you have a way to receive weather watches and warnings from Local 15.  Downloading the Local 15 Weather App to your phone, is a good tool.  You can also visit us on face book, or keep the channel on Local 15, and we'll keep you up to date if a warning is issued for your neighborhood.

By late afternoon, the system shifts east and much colder air is set to spill in.  We've already reached the low 70s early this morning and that was our high for the day, temps will continue to tumble through the afternoon.  By mid afternoon, we'll drop into the mid 50s.

You'll need the heaters going overnight, as we'll wake up tomorrow morning in the mid 30s.  Thursday brings sunny and breezy conditions with highs around 60.  As we wrap up the workweek and head into the weekend temps slowly moderate, with low 60s on Friday, then mid to upper 60s for Saturday and Sunday.  By Monday, we'll be back in the 70s.
