A warmer weekend is expected with temperatures soaring into the 70s for Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy each day and mornings will not be nearly as chilly as humidity levels increase. More clouds are expected Sunday, especially later in the day. By Monday, a cold front will move into the region, bringing a chance of showers and storms. Timing of the rain will be late morning to early afternoon west of I-65 to evening east of I-65. Most of the rain should be clear of the area by early Tuesday morning, followed by a significant cooldown. Temperatures will drop from highs in the 70s Monday to barely getting out of the low 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Low temperatures will be chilly once again, with low 30s well inland, mid 30s near I-10 and upper 30s to around 40 along the beaches by Wednesday morning.
The cool down will be brief as the next storm system heads toward the area by the end of next week into next weekend. Warmer temperatures will return by next Thursday and Friday.
