The forecast for the rest of the weekend looks dry and warm. Temperatures on Sunday will rise into the low to mid 70s under partly cloudy skies, after starting the day with mostly cloudy conditions and patchy fog. Dry weather continues through Tuesday, with progressively warmer temperatures. Highs Monday and Tuesday will reach the mid 70s with some areas Tuesday near 80. A strong storm system will move in from the west late Tuesday into Wednesday bringing a chance of showers and storms. Given the warm and humid environment expect by mid-week and upper level shear, some of the storms may be severe with wind damage and tornado potential. At this time, the wind threat looks much higher than the tornado threat. We'll keep our eyes on it.

After the storm departs, cooler and drier weather returns for the end of the week into next weekend, with a slight cooldown into the 50s and 60s for highs Thursday, then back into the 60s heading into next weekend.
