The forecast looks mostly dry for tonight though Wednesday night. We will be in between two systems. The first one will continue moving away overnight. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with areas of fog. Low temperatures will fall into the 50s in most areas. Highs Wednesday will reach the lower 70s. Another storm system will move in on Thursday. This will bring our second round of rain this week, beginning Thursday morning and continuing through early Friday morning. The rainfall with the second system looks a bit heavier than what we saw Monday night.

Mardi Gras parades look fine for this weekend as dry weather returns. Temperatures will reach the lower and mid 70s with lows in the 50s both Saturday and Joe Cain Sunday. Lundi Gras will be mostly dry, but yet another storm will take aim on the Gulf Coast. This one will bring another round of heavy rain and perhaps a few storms through Fat Tuesday. There is a HIGH chance that the parades on Fat Tuesday will be affected by steady rainfall most of the day. The storm is still a week away, and the timing could change, but confidence is increasing that it will be a WET end to Mardi Gras on the Gulf Coast.
