Quiet weather will continue through Sunday, but temperatures are expected to fluctuate a bit. Skies will be clear overnight with lows around 40. Highs on Friday will rebound into the mid and upper 60s. A strong cold front will move through the area late Friday and early Saturday. Clouds will increase late in the day with partly to mostly cloudy skies expected overnight into Saturday morning. A few showers may accompany the front, but the chance of rain will be 20% or less.

It will be breezy on Saturday with highs struggling to get out of the 40s inland and low 50s south. Skies will gradually become mostly sunny later in the day Saturday, setting up for a cold night Saturday night. Lows will drop to the mid 20s across areas near Hwy 84 and around 30 along I-10. Coastal areas will see lows in the low to mid 30s. Temperatures rebound Sunday with highs near 60.

Next week, the active weather pattern returns, as another fast-moving storm system moves through the area. Rain will develop to our west late Monday and spread across the region Tuesday. Temperatures will rise to near 70 by Tuesday then fall back into the 60s for Wednesday and Thursday. The next storm system that will bring significant rain to the area will come toward the end of next week, possibly into next weekend.
