WEATHER SUMMARY

It looks like the next 24-36 hours will be quite wet and stormy here on the Gulf Coast. Through tonight, we will continue to see  a few scattered showers and storms. These storms will create a quick downpour, some lightning and possibly a little small hail but widespread heavy rain overnight is not expected. Through the first part of Wednesday, we will see cloudy skies and more spotty showers and storms. As the day progresses the chance of rain will go up significantly, especially by Wednesday night. Locally heavy rain will be possible and there is a small chance for some severe storms, but the threat does not appear too high at this point. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Most areas will see 2-3" with some spots receiving locally heavier amounts. The storm will move out of the region by Thursday morning, and dry air will rush in behind it clearing skies out. Breezy and sunny conditions are expected Thursday afternoon with highs will into the 70s. A cold front will move into the area on Friday bringing slightly cooler weather for Friday afternoon into the weekend. Highs will be in the low 70s on Friday and 60s for the weekend. Temperatures at night will stay mainly in the 40s, but freezing temperatures are not expected for the next week.

Temperatures stay mild through the middle of next week with sun & clouds and highs in the 60s.
