WEATHER SUMMARY

Skies overnight will remain mostly cloudy. Temperatures again will drop into the mid and upper 40s. Another weak piece of upper level energy will rotate through the region on Thursday afternoon bringing a slight chance of light showers. The chance of rain Thursday will be even less than what we saw Wednesday morning, so most areas will remain dry. Friday will see a return to sunshine with highs close to 70. Our attention then turns toward a strong cold front that will bring a decent chance of showers and thunderstorms by late Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Some of these storms will have the potential to become strong, however the threat for widespread severe weather looks to stay west of the area through the afternoon Saturday. Sunday will be cooler, with clouds and sunshine. The coldest temperatures will occur Monday morning, where some areas may drop into the mid 30s. A substantial warm-up will occur by the middle of next week with highs well into the 70s by next Wednesday.
