Check out the picture of the two tornado tracks across Mobile that occurred this past week. The National Weather Service rated the first one an EF-1 tornado, with estimate winds of 86-109mph.  It developed December 20th, the path length was 7 miles and the path width was 75 yards.   This twister formed at 4:49am near Davidson High School and ended at 5:05am near Telegraph Road in Prichard, AL.

The next one touched down on Christmas, December 25th, with a path length of 5.7 miles, and a path width of 200 yards. The National Weather Service rated it an EF-2 with estimate winds of 111-135mph.  It started at 4:54pm near Halls Mill Road & Dauphin Island Parkway and ended at 5:05pm in Prichard.

The NWS will have survey teams from Mobile, Birmingham, Slidell and Jackson helping to assess the rest of the tornado tracks.  They told us this morning the track in Wilmer was from either an EF-1 or EF-2, but their final determinations should come later today as crews further investigate the damage in Wilmer, and in Clarke County near Grove Hill.
