Don't forget before you go to bed Saturday night to set your clocks ahead an hour as Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday.  So, we Spring Forward this weekend at 2am on Sunday.  However, the official start of the Spring season does not arrive until March 20th.  Although, we'll lose an hour of sleep, one of the best things about DST is that we’ll see more sunlight later in the evening.  This makes it seem like the days are longer which they're actually not.

The warmer weather along the Gulf Coast is also a sure sign that Spring is right around the corner.  Saturday and Sunday will both bring highs in the low to mid 70s.  As our clocks jump ahead, our temps will follow suit here locally.

This is also a good time to check the smoke detectors in your home.
