The forecast is starting to look more like January. After several days of unseasonably warm weather, we are beginning to see more cold air intrusions as the jet stream flow aloft becomes more north to south, as opposed to zonal, or west to east. One of the things are watching for next week is a plunge of Arctic air that promises to bring significantly colder weather to the region for at least one day. At this time, it appears Tuesday will be the coldest day, where far northeastern parts of the region may not get out of the low 40s, with lows well into the 20s. Here in Mobile, we'll probably struggle to get out of the 40s too.

Be prepared to protect cold sensitive plants, pets and pipes, especially Monday night and possibly Tuesday night. We'll provide more updates as we get closer to next week!
