(MOBILE, Ala.) Over 153,000 people turned out Tuesday for the parades. Huge crowds, and quite a challenge for the men and women in uniform who protect our city.
Deputies made dozens of arrests Tuesday night. Authorities encountered everything from disorderly conduct to drug possession.
While revelers were celebrating the last parade of the year, Mobile County Sheriff's Deputies were hard at work.
"Tonight we have had a few interesting arrests," said Sgt. Joe Mahoney
One of those was a man arrested for marijuana possession, along with his pet snake.
He wasn't alone. One by one sheriff's deputies were hauling people in.
Despite these arrests, authorities are calling it a lighter year compared to years past.
Also tonight, authorities told Local 15 News two officers with the state's ABC board were taken to USA Medical center after a brawl with revelers.
One of those officers was bitten on the leg. The other suffered a broken hand.
